Job Title: Civil Engineer in Training (EIT)
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Civil Engineer with proven experience producing construction documents in Civil 3D. This position will be supporting land development, site development, and municipal projects ranging from single-family residential, multifamily, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure improvement for municipalities. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to support the planning, design, and execution of various land development projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Graduate to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for land development projects.
Conduct site assessments and surveys to gather data for project planning and design.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Perform calculations and analyses to support the design and construction of infrastructure such as roads, drainage systems, and utilities.
Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documentation.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
Work Environment
The position offers a dynamic and supportive environment where the candidate will gain hands-on experience. The role involves collaboration with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders. Candidates will be expected to engage in both office-based tasks and fieldwork, conducting site assessments and surveys.
