2nd & 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Job Description

• Perform duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment, including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Troubleshoot and repair production machines.

• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and blueprints.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

• Use various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

• Detect faulty operations, and defective material, and report unusual situations to management.

Hard Skills

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic aptitude

  • Ability to change out a motor (480V)

  • Experience in a highly automated, production environment, preferably food and beverage manufacturing

  • Knowledge of conveyor systems, PLCs, and automation

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Denison, Texas.

Work Environment

The majority of the plant is climate-controlled and maintains a pretty clean environment.

Shift Hours:

2nd - 2:00 pm-11:00 pm Monday-Friday

3rd - 10:30 pm-6:30 am Monday-Friday

New hires are typically pointed to the 3rd shift to rebuild equipment after sanitation. Less experienced hires go on the 3rd shift, while higher to mid-level hires may have the potential for day shifts. The main priority is staffing the 3rd shift.

Weekly Schedule:

5 hours of overtime is standard weekly.

1 day off during the week, varying per person. Every other weekend off.
