Phillips Temro Inc Manufacturing Engineering Intern in Delano, Minnesota

Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support various process improvement, data analysis, and reporting initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, production data analysis, and efficiency tracking, offering valuable exposure to real-world manufacturing challenges. Specific Projects: Data Analysis & Reporting: Rework and simplify existing production reports (Efficiency, Backlog, OTD, Safety, Quality). Establish new reports for on-time delivery, shipment tracking, and efficiency metrics. Support inventory and cycle count tracking. Process Improvement & Manufacturing Support: Assist in optimizing production workflows and setting up manufacturing cells. Update labeling for barcode scanners and organize tooling/fixtures. Support floor marking coordination and plant layout planning. Cost & Efficiency Evaluations: Conduct cost analysis Investigate labor hour planning and scheduling improvements. Special Skills (Preferred but Not Required): Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Analysis). Knowledge of Power BI and SAP (or other ERP systems) is a plus. Understanding of manufacturing operations and production data analysis. Hands-on experience with process improvement tools and methodologies. Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or Supply Chain Management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Pay Range: $19-$20 At PTI, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
