The Opportunity:The American Girl DeForest Distribution Center is looking for a dynamic individual for the Seasonal Department Assistant position for the B-Shift. This position effectively completes the administrative duties for the distribution center. What Your Impact Will Be: Exhibits polite and professional communication in person, via phone and e-mail. Greet visitors and direct them appropriately. Maintain security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges, etc.). To provide assistance to DC employees and management team to ensure efficient operation. Answers phones, screens and routes the call to the appropriate person or take a message. Responsible for getting all messages to their intended recipient. Maintain DC and Facility records and files. Collate and distribute mail and supply orders. Creates and maintains miscellaneous DC spreadsheets. Ensures reception area is tidy and presentable. What We\'re Looking For: 2-3 years of experience in an office environment and/or administrative support role. Fluent in English; and Spanish preferred, but not required. Excellent oral and written communications skills including professional phone etiquette. Strong Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel skills. Must be able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with people at all levels of the organization as well as guests and vendors. Must be organized, detail oriented and able to make decisions with little information. Must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality with sensitive information involving people, budgets, strategic plans, etc. Must possess an ability to remain calm under pressure and be able manage stress when uncomfortable situations develop.
