Frisella Nursery Inc. (Defiance, MO) is hiring Junior Landscape Crew Leader to supervise and assist workers engaged in landscaping and groundskeeping activities such as installing paver patios, retaining walls, planting, maintaining lawn, beds and trees; irrigating, transplanting and general plant care. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Report to Senior Crew Leader and confer with Senior Leader about projects progress, work schedules, labor, and equipment requirements. Monitor or perform mixing and application of fertilizers, insecticides, herbicide, or fungicides. Provide training and assistance to crew members in the operation of landscaping equipment and verify compliance with policy and safety standards. Confirm accuracy of crew workers daily time reports. Drive vehicles to transport or arrange to transport workers, tools, and equipment. Oversee and assist crew on off-season equipment re-conditioning and dormant pruning operations and other related duties as per SOC/OES 37-1012. Requirements: 12 months of experience as a landscape crew leader/supervisor or landscape worker. Must be able to obtain a valid drivers license within 30 days from hire, lift 50 lbs., and pass post-hire drug screening paid by the employer.
