Job Title: Tig Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding to join metal parts, ensuring high-quality and precise welds. This role requires a strong attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on various metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium, to create strong and precise joints.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding codes to determine welding requirements.

  • Select and set up welding equipment, including torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to the thickness and type of metal.

  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and are free of defects. Conduct radiographic and bend tests as needed.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work environment.

  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any malfunctions or defects.

  • Work closely with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

  • Maintain accurate records of welding parameters and completed tasks.

Essential Skills

  • 2-3 years of TIG welding experience (using old school pedals) on stainless steel.

  • Experience with blueprint reading.

  • Experience with basic mechanical assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience welding with titanium.

  • Bilingual.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing environment with various machines, including CNCs and punch presses. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toed boots, and a tee shirt. The working hours are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00
