The Supplies Coordinator position is designated as remote, but must be within 30 miles of an Essendant distribution facility.
Major Responsibilities
Source and purchase indirect materials, supplies, and services in accordance with company policies and budget requirements.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery, including order tracking and resolving any discrepancies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
Crosstrained as CMMS administrative support to Field Maintenance Organization.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
Work closely with internal departments (Facilities, Finance, Operations) to identify supply needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Support standardization efforts across the organization for commonly used supplies.
Understands and demonstrates Essendant’s Core Values.
Skills/Knowledge Required
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
1+ years relevant work experience, or any similar combination of education and experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
