Opportunity Overview
We are growing the Hardware Design Team in Deer Park, IL; and we are looking for an individual that enjoys developing new products and is passionate about converting ideas into reality . In our Hardware Team you will join a culture committed to developing the right products to create value for our customers. The team develops sophisticated High Voltage/Current instrumentation solutions used by leading Power Semiconductor companies to production test their Wide Bandgap devices (SiC and GaN) . Therefore you are expected to possess strong expertise in simulation, and will be responsible to optimize power delivery architectures and hardware designs to test WBG devices.
As a Hardware Engineer, you will be responsible for executing all the engineering activities with a high degree of creativity and quality:
Develop and implement simulation models to optimize power delivery in high power electronics test systems for WBG devices.
Apply characterization methods for comprehensive simulation testing of WBG devices under various operational and fault conditions.
Analyze simulation results and provide recommendations for design improvement of electronic circuits and electromechanical interfaces.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation findings into hardware and mechanical designs.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in high power delivery for WBG device testing.
Participate in prototyping test plans to validate simulation models and ensure hardware reliability and performance.
Prepare technical reports on progress and findings to stakeholders.
Identify tradeoffs in power delivery requirements and propose timely solutions to design issues.
Actively collaborate with systems engineers and architects on the design of viable HW solutions.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
7+ year of experience in similar positions in semiconductor or related industry.
Proven experience in simulating and optimizing parasitic elements in high power electronic systems.
Strong knowledge of SiC/GaN devices and their applications.
Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE, Ansys, or equivalent.
Familiar with dynamic tests and validation of SiC/GaN devices under various operating and failure conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Willingness to travel as needed per project requirements.
