Aerotek Entry Level Welder in Decatur, Illinois

Job Title: Welder

Shift: 1st shift

Job Description

As a Welder, your primary responsibilities will include welding to custom fabricate, working on shell and tube heat exchangers, Pressure Vessels, and Tanks. You will perform MIG flux-core welding on a variety of stainless, carbon, and precious metals using 045 wire, and engage in TIG welding. Additional duties include fitting, code welding, and blueprint reading.

Skills

  • MIG experience

  • TIG experience (preferred)

  • Flux core welding

  • Welding of fabricated heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and tanks

  • Experience in fabricating steel products

  • Perform measurements

  • Experienced in reading blueprints and weld symbol knowledge

  • Knowledgeable with layout and fabrication of product

  • Physical capability for requirements of job, including lifting 50+lbs

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Decatur, IL
