Cloud Security Architect – Decatur, IL – Erlanger, KY (Cincinnati Area) - Remote

This is an exempt level position.

Position Summary:

The Cloud Security Architect is responsible for strategy, design, development, integration, process, and optimization of cloud security architectures. This position will directly chip in to the overall global enterprise cloud architecture and influence the security vision and strategy around cloud-based services, across all types (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).

This individual will serve as the central point of contact for Global Information Security for other both technology and business units within the organization for all matters related to cloud. In collaboration with the Director of Architecture and members of the Enterprise Architecture team, will define specifications and architectural security solutions to protect, monitor and manage ADM’s information and assets housed or operating in various cloud environments. The Cloud Security Architect will help identify current tactical needs, drive the execution and improvement of ADM security through our cloud native environments, as well as define required future state security requirements, capabilities and needs. This role will require effective multi-functional technical and executive level teamwork.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Based on business requirements, design and implement cloud-native architectures and designs that will allow those requirements to be met with a minimal degree of risk to ADM and with appropriate security controls present.

  • Will represent Global Information Security as a senior technical representative while engaging with other senior technical leaders throughout organization in design and implementation of cloud and cloud/hybrid-based implementations and solutions.

  • Establish the capability and a process to monitor multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS) for their compliance assurance, security governance, and SOC enablement, transition support for production security-tooling infrastructure.

  • Develops policy and standards in partnership with Engineering, Infrastructure Services, and Application Development.

  • Develops and executes strategies to increase Cloud Security knowledge throughout the enterprise.

  • Developing design patterns that will allow ADM to consume public cloud services in a manner that supports our private security posture.

  • Develop and automate repeatable security tasks/processes.

  • Work with development teams and leadership to build, execute, and track a roadmap of Security maturity within the program.

  • Develop appropriate risk treatment and mitigation options to address identified security risks.

  • Translate technical vulnerabilities into business risk terminology for business units and recommend corrective actions to customers and project partners.

  • Participate as necessary as a domain expert in the incident response program for the scope of cloud topics.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant equivalent experience.

  • Functional experience and ability to articulate Zero Trust Principles

  • Experience in Micro segmentation strategic and functional

  • Functional experience in Hypervisor security accountability

  • 5 Years of Strong functional experience in Azure environment, (IaaS, PaaS), including; Cloud infrastructure and monitoring, Automated deployment and configurations, Networking, Managed Identity, Data Design, Solution Resiliency

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and leverage effective relationships with developers, business leaders, stakeholders, and externally.

  • Solid problem solving and analytical skills; able to quickly digest any issue/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution.

  • Able to work at high level of autonomy in a multifaceted environment.

  • Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.

  • Ability to develop relevant metrics and KPIs to communicate status, demonstrate progress and build awareness of cloud program performance.

  • Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews to assess security implications and requirements for introduction of new cloud technologies.

  • Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a multi-functional team to implement and effectively transition solutions to service operations.
