Licensed Clinical Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Clinic Manager oversees the efficient and effective operation of BHCC/CSU workflow within the organization. This role involves managing clinical staff, ensuring the quality of care provided to patients experiencing psychiatric crises, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Manager is responsible for coordinating resources, implementing best practices, and fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATIONS:

  • Collaborates with the Center Director to manage personnel, ensuring adequate staff coverage.
  • Provides exemplary customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Manages site incidents, initiating immediate remedies and reporting as necessary, with agency support.
  • Maintains environmental safety and a therapeutic milieu for both staff and clients.
  • Regularly monitors the Behavioral Health Board for potential admissions, facilitates the referral process by verifying insurance details, gathering referral information from the source, assigning a nurse for nurse-to-nurse communication, and consulting with the APRN/MD on duty as needed.

``` - Ensure timely and appropriate assessment, intervention, and disposition of patients presenting with psychiatric emergencies. - Collaborate with other departments and community agencies to facilitate seamless transitions of care for patients requiring ongoing treatment or support. - Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided in psychiatric emergency services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for enhancement. - Coordinate staff training and development initiatives to maintain competency and proficiency in managing psychiatric emergencies. - Oversee the maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment within the BHCC/CSU. - Participate in quality improvement activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting related to psychiatric emergency services. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, including those set forth by accrediting bodies and government agencies. - Provide leadership and support during crisis situations, including implementing emergency response protocols and ensuring staff safety, in the absence or in conjunction with the Center Director. - Act as a resource for staff regarding clinical and administrative issues related to psychiatric emergency and crisis stabilization services.

  • Supports clinical leadership to foster best practices.
  • Performs duties from a recovery oriented, client centered, and trauma informed perspective.

  • Facilitates onboarding for new clinical staff members.

SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.

Current licensure (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor).

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in psychiatric emergency services or a related setti
