Robert Half Help Desk Manager in Decatur, Georgia

Description

We are offering an employment opportunity for a Help Desk Manager in the non-profit industry based in Decatur, Georgia. The chosen candidate will be responsible for managing IT operations, analyzing business needs, implementing technical solutions, and providing user support.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze technical needs presented by the user community or clients and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Create, maintain, and enforce standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions to ensure consistency.

• Oversee IT help desk ticketing queue, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.

• Manage procurement of IT assets while monitoring and maintaining all VoIP related systems.

• Produce detailed timelines for each application release, monitor progress, and report status.

• Create and maintain documentation of IT processes and requirements related to equipment, network topology, and end-user support.

• Provide technical support for various operating environments including performance tuning, troubleshooting, administration, and maintenance.

• Participate in hardware and software evaluations while maintaining vendor contracts.

• Prepare long and short-term plans and acquire resources to support application selection and systems development.

• Forecast costs, equipment, and personnel needs for projects and programs required for IT operations.

• Analyze computer technology information to assist in directing management in the selection of software and hardware to meet organization needs.

• Manage duties and responsibilities of IT operations staff and support their personal development.

• Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies, Database, EO/IR systems, Microsoft, Networking, Active Directory.

• Knowledge of Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, Deployments, Deskside Support.

Requirements • Proven experience in managing a Help Desk in a non-profit setting

• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies

• Solid understanding of database management and EO/IR systems

• Familiarity with Microsoft software and tools

• Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols

• Experience with Active Directory management

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair computer hardware

• Experience with configuration management practices

• Capable of planning and executing technology deployments

• Experience providing deskside support to end users

• High degree of professionalism and excellent communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders

• Commitment to providing excellent customer service

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
