Imagine being the architect of the software that powers a vehicle's brain. That's what our Vehicle Controls Platform Architect does! They're the masterminds behind the scenes, configuring the core software components (AUTOSAR BSW) to ensure the vehicle's systems are reliable and efficient. They dive deep into the code to solve complex issues like processor resets and software glitches, making sure the engine runs smoothly and the car responds to every driver command. They meticulously build the platform, optimizing performance by strategically distributing software across different processors. They're also the integration experts, flawlessly blending third-party software with the vehicle's core systems. Finally, they act as detectives, troubleshooting any issues that arise in the vehicle's control systems, identifying the root cause, and implementing solutions that prevent future problems. It's a challenging and rewarding role, where every line of code contributes to a safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable driving experience.

What you'll do...

  • Architect and configure the bedrock of our vehicle control systems: You'll be responsible for configuring BSW and AUTOSAR components, focusing on critical areas like diagnostics, watchdog, and non-volatile memory (NVM). Your expertise will ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of our software platform.

  • Master the art of debugging and problem-solving: You'll be at the forefront of troubleshooting low-level processor resets and software issues. Your deep understanding of embedded systems and debugging techniques will be essential in identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

  • Optimize performance through intelligent platform design: You'll optimize the platform architecture by strategically distributing runnables across processor cores, maximizing efficiency and performance.

  • Integrate diverse software components: You'll expertly integrate third-party software components (SIPs) and supplier-built software into our platform, ensuring seamless integration and flawless functionality.

  • Unravel the mysteries of vehicle behavior: You'll be a detective, analyzing and troubleshooting vehicle/powertrain functional issues. Your analytical skills will be crucial in determining root causes, validating corrective actions, and developing preventative measures

You'll have...

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science, or related degree, or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education

  • 5 years of experience in testing and debugging automotive embedded systems software experience, generating an RTE

  • 5 years of Embedded C software experience

  • 1+ years Python scripting experience

  • 2 years of modeling, simulation and testing techniques

  • 2 years of experience with AUTOSAR Classic BSW Configuration or creation of AUTOSAR BSW or CDD Components

  • 2+ years understanding of compilers, makefiles, SW build, CI SW build automation systems

Even better, you may have...

  • Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science, or related degree, or foreign equivalency degree

  • Experience working with and distributing tasks and measuring cpu load in a multi-core/tricore architecture.

  • Ability to train team in MacSec configuration and validation

  • MacSec/Ethernet industry experience

  • Configure, test and debug MacSec related components and testing environment

  • Familiarity with Agile/SAFe tools and processes

  • Experience working with diverse teams and across organizational boundaries to accomplish complex tasks
