Seeking enthusiastic, experienced Full-stack Software Engineers to build elegant and scalable solutions to power a seamless, frictionless electric vehicle charging experience. We are the technical core of the Electrification Platform, maintaining a strong engineering culture that encourages innovation, growth, learning and development.

  • Leverage modern frameworks, open-source tools, and cloud technologies to develop software effectively through paired programming and other methodologies like test-driven development, continuous integration, and deployment.

  • Use modern techniques and processes such as agile and LEAN to eliminate waste and maximize value by optimizing the entire software development process.

  • Implement distributed, service-oriented, cloud micro service-based architectures.

  • Develop working, tested code across the full stack of technologies.

  • Conducting a full suite of software tests, including unit, functional, non-functional, integration, reliability, and performance testing.

  • Develop components across all tiers of the application stack, integrate and deploy developed software, and modify CI/CD pipeline and scripts as vital to improve continuous integration practices.

  • Identify minimal viable product and decompose features by story slicing.

  • Identify inter-team dependencies and ensure that team dependencies are met in timely fashion.

  • Ensure functional and non-functional quality and on-time delivery using sound software engineering principles and best practices.

  • Collaborate with your team, other cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Architects, UI Designers, DevOps, and QA, to design and develop a scalable microservices platform.

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality, reusable, and testable code that adheres to both industry and Ford best practices and standards.

  • Keen to learn the design and architecture of the product platform and participate passionately to positively influence both.

You'll have…

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, or a related field or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education

  • 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience: developing object-oriented software and/or web applications using an object-oriented language like Java and using testing frameworks such as Junit and delivering software applications in an Agile, CI/CD environment

  • 5 years of experience: managing deployments in cloud environments, preferably GCP.

  • 4 years of experience: conducting system integration, validation, verification, and automation testing

  • 4 years of experience: designing and developing DevOps CI/CD
