Actalent Process Engineer in Dearborn, Michigan

Job Title: Process EngineerJob Description

The Casting Manufacturing Engineer will work with Product Development and Suppliers to successfully develop and launch next-generation Powertrain castings. Successful candidates will have a proven record of working with cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of complex castings. The Casting Manufacturing Engineer will be required to apply their knowledge to various casting alloys and processes, including but not limited to gravity, low-pressure, and high-pressure die casting. Knowledge of various core making processes and materials will be useful. In this role, the Casting Engineer will have a direct impact on the design and processing of Powertrain castings in future products. Ideal candidates must navigate and drive change in a complex internal environment, challenging the status quo as we define an all-new way of manufacturing vehicles.

Hard Skills

  • 2-4 years experience with aluminum casting processes used to produce various automotive components

  • Working level knowledge of casting, post processing, and die development processes

  • Working level knowledge of core making processes and materials

  • Experience with high pressure die casting of structural components

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 104 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Dearborn, Michigan.
