Nick Corieri from the Syracuse office of Robert Half has another opportunity with one of his best client companies. This position recently opened due to a recent retirement and they are looking to bring a Tax Manager onboard to lead a department of three Accountants. Some of the many things this role entails are as follows:

• Applying principals of accounting to prepare financial reports and necessary information for preparation of Accounting Firm review.

• Advising management on tax strategies and implementation of such strategies for minimizing tax liability.

• Assuring Cash Management is being considered in conjunction with taxes, financing etc.

• Handling of Intercompany payables/receivables/debt

• Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.

• Conducting and reviewing technical research, tax planning recommendations

• Supporting and mentoring firm staff in respect of tax matters, including organizing and delivering in-house training

• Representing organization before taxing bodies and authorities.

Requirements

BA degree or higher in Accounting - CPA License is a plus.

4+ years with experience in the following areas

Corporate Tax Compliance

Corporate Tax Department

General Ledger

Financial Reporting

Tax Liabilities

Advanced use of Microsoft Excel
