Position Summary: A Facilities Maintenance Technician II is responsible for keeping manufacturing areas and equipment in good condition to meet standards for making lithium-ion cells. The technician performs regular inspections of mechanical and electrical systems, identifies problems, and makes repairs. The technician should also be able to assess utility outages and take the necessary steps to resolve these issues effectively.
Essential Duties:
Conduct routine inspections on mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairing them using standard equipment and hand tools with moderate supervision.
Collaborates effectively with vendors, contractors, and tenants to ensure compliance with established work rules under moderate supervision.
Review and understand equipment manuals and work orders for necessary repairs and maintenance.
Fundamental knowledge is needed to identify faulty operations and defective materials and report these and any unusual situations to the supervisor.
Be capable of evaluating a utility outage and implementing corrective measures to resolve the situation.
Maintain constant communication and collaboration with Engineering, Construction, and other internal and external groups, including PECNA tenants under supervision.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to accurately document labor hours and report on equipment maintenance activities, general work orders, maintenance request forms, and CMMS checklists.
Follows all safety protocols and company policies, adheres to regulatory standards, and maintains clean and organized work environments.
Maintain electrical safety in the workplace, including regular inspections of electrical systems and proper maintenance of tools.
Possess the ability to draft and implement Maintenance Operating Procedures (MOP) and perform comprehensive Job Safety Analyses.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees,’ wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education
Required : High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) OR a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
Preferred : One year of experience and formal training in Plumbing, Electrical, or Mechanical fields. OR two years of experience in Facility Maintenance or a similar area OR a combination of equivalent education and experience.
Essential Qualifications
A minimum of three years of pertinent work experience within industrial manufacturing facilities is required.
Proficient in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, pipefitting, boiler making, and HVAC systems as a journeyman or mechanic in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Expert in hand-held measuring devices for dew point, temperature, relative humidity, airflow, ampacity, pressure, and particulate matter readings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to interpret blueprints accurately, allowing for the identification of equipment and areas that need maintenance or repair.
Strong oral and written communication skills and a strong willingness to collaborate effectively with others.
Flexibility and a keen sense of self-initiative
Valid state driver’s license
Proficient in the English language, encompassing adeptness in reading, writing, and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in mechanical engineering or the construction industry.
Experience using equipment maintenance scheduling software.
Willingness to become a First Responder with the ability to swiftly moving through the factory to any manufacturing area that requires an operational response.
