Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position serves as the supervisor of the Ryan White program case managers and works under the general supervision of: OPERATIONS & MGMT CONSULTANT MGR- SES, position #64067633.

Position salary will be based on rate/budget availability.

This position will primarly work at the Volusia Daytona Beach Holsonback office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with travel to cover as needed to Orange City office. Travel within Volusia County to CBO'S - Community Based Organizations for training.

The Supervisor for the Ryan White Case Managers is responsible for ensuring all services in Area 12 are provided in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines. The supervisor monitors and evaluates the staff on accountability, productivity, and efficiency while ensuring client centered/specific care. The supervisor will perform case management record audits in HMS, CAREWare and/or any applicable client file.

The position is primarily responsible for staff supervision, program monitoring, and consulting on case management. This individual will be responsible for all supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring and selection, developing performance plans, conducting performance appraisals, planning and directing work, approving leave, and taking disciplinary action as appropriate.

Specific duties include:

I. Supervision and leadership

Interviews prospective employees and selects candidates. Sets performance expectations, conducts evaluations, and takes disciplinary actions as indicated Ongoing supervision of Ryan White case management staff. Conducts chart audit reviews weekly and documents the date of review and required follow up as needed. Provides assistance and advice on staff development and training. Receives, reviews, and follows up on all client complaints in accordance with agency policy. All complaints are logged and reported out to immediate supervisor monthly including complaint type, findings, and all required follow-up. Provides support and guidance to case managers including technical assistance in the area of case management and Ryan White eligibility. Conduct routine case management staff meetings to identify program deficiencies, opportunities for improvement, and to standardize processes. Assigns clients to case managers within one business day of identification, oversees case management schedule, monitors staff accountability, productivity, and efficiency.

II. Program Implementation

Follows federal program guidance from HRSA Ryan White Part B .Ensures adherence to state adaptation of federal guidance.Tracks required measures to monitor program effectiveness.Maintains communication with the lead agency manager and case management staff regarding provision of service delivery.Assist with the identification of clients that have been out of care for 12 months and develop plans for linking back into care.

III. Partnership for Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Planning (PCHAP)

Attend and participate In PCHAP meetings and incorporate deficiencies into case management protocols as indicated.

IV. Reporting and Documentation

Ensures all Ryan White case management activities are documented in HMS, CAREWare, and any other applicable databases. Ensures that the RSA report is reviewed monthly and discrepancies are corrected within two weeks or as soon as practical. Reviews customer satisfaction reports and makes necessary changes as required. Routinely review encumbrances and communicate with financial services to ensure all money is appropriately accounted for and spent in accordance with federal and state guidelines and rules.

V. Quality Improvement (QI)

Participation in QI activities to develop and Implement protocols to enhance/improve case management activities, services, and service delivery.QI activities will also include identification of gaps in care to ensure health equity for Ryan White clients.

VI. Case Management

Conduct case management for clients when necessary due to staff absences or shortages. Follow all federal, state, and local case management guidance and policies.

VII. Miscellaneous Activities

Attends and participates in staff development, such as team/staff meetings and in-service training/continuing education. Attends computer skills/training classes as needed Performs other related duties as necessary including public health services during disasters including shelter duty Maintains timely submission of EARS, timesheets, telephone invoices, and travel documentation.
