Dayton Children's Hospital Team Lead Cardiology in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Cardiology - EKGSchedule:Full timeHours:32Job Details:Provides competent professional nursing care in an outpatient setting based on a documented assessment of the patient’s/family’s needs and in accordance with the physician's treatment plan. Collaborates with members of the health care team within the entire medical center as well as the community in order to effectively and efficiently administer care in an outpatients setting according to the hospital mission. Is actively involved in providing education to improve patient health outcomes and involves patients/families in their care and treatment decision. Promotes a customer service-oriented environment and acts as a change agent to meet the needs of all customers, both internal and external.

Provides leadership and direction to all the clinic team members in the Cardiology division. This person will provide support and coverage for other Cardiology Team leaders. Responsible for the daily patient flow, staff schedules, and the completion of assigned tasks for the Clinic team. Maintains staff schedules on the main campus as well as the off-site locations. Provides input and implements process changes that address patient flow concerns. Works in close relation with physician schedules to maintain flow in the department. Responsible to maintain QA and responsibilities required to maintain quality standards. Performs QA monthly, reports quarterly to manager. Responsible for orientation of new clinic members to clinic team, educates staff of new technologies. Provides input for new policies and procedures. Successfully completes assigned tasks and projects as assigned by manager. Serves as a member of the department leadership and performance improvement teams. Serves as a resource person with regard to the Cardiology information related systems and instructs others in its proper usage. Reports problems to the Manager. Follows the A.I.D.E.T. and Safety standards. Supports departmental and hospital policies and procedures at all times as requested. This is a staff level clinic position with day-to-day patient care responsibilities.
