We are looking for a Senior/Lead Engineer or Engineering Technologist with strong problem-solving abilities to lead our engineering and construction teams. This role involves creating and upholding standards to ensure the transmission and distribution system is safe, cost-effective, and reliable. The person in this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining design standards, including CAD drawings, equipment specifications, and application guidelines for the transmission and distribution systems at AES Indiana and AES Ohio. Key Responsibilities: Identify requirements for new standards and revision of existing ones by striving to make continuous improvements, tracking customer feedback and researching the latest developments in the industry. Draft the changes to the standards - both documents and CAD drawings. Manage the standards' development/revision life cycle from concept to implementation in a timely manner. Identify process bottlenecks that may prevent utilization of standards to the full extent and work with partners to prioritize process streamlining. Research, prepare, and maintain design and construction standards for substation and distribution network installations, which need to meet structural, mechanical and electrical (i.e., clearance, capacity) requirements per industry standards and codes while minimizing costs. Research and evaluate new electric equipment and tools for testing, installing, and maintaining that equipment including connectors, terminations, cables as well as power transformers, circuit breakers/switchgears/reclosers, capacitors, regulators, etc. Run equipment databases through creation, revision and deletion of asset entries in AES' asset database management system. Responsible for root-cause forensic investigations and analysis for equipment failures and personnel safety incidents and implement vital corrective measures. Serve as a main technical point of contact and domain expert to guide and collaborate with other transmission, substation, and distribution engineering departments. Lead standards committees for the development and implementation of new and existing standards. Responsible for developing and maintaining electric facility rating methodologies and performing, documenting, and publishing equipment ratings for power transformers, conductors, etc. Engage with the industry standard committees and working groups (e.g., IEEE Standards, ANSI Standards, NESC) and be able to demonstrate leadersh
