Dayton Children's Hospital Research Data Coordinator in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Gastroenterology ManagementSchedule:Part timeHours:24Job Details:Research Data Coordinator will work both the Gastroenterology Division and Clinical Research. The Research Coordinator will oversee data management and IRB submissions/studies. The coordinator will report directly to GI ambulatory clinic manager. The Research Coordinator is responsible for collecting and managing data as it relates to the management of the inflammatory bowel disease patient population and ImproveCareNow network. The Research Data Coordinator provides accurate and reliable data by maintaining and enhancing data retrieval, database maintenance, report development and distribution of patient data throughout the GI division as well as through the ImproveCareNow network. The Research Data Coordinator is responsible for monitoring compliance with the compliance bundle and alerting team members of measures below target and opportunities for improvement. The Clinical research coordinator will perform clinical research activities under the general direction of the Clinical Research Supervisor/Manger and a Principal Investigator (PI) while adhering to International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines. They will perform tasks, including but not limited to: Site feasibility, preparation, patient screening and recruitment, patient enrollment, conducting study visits, completing and ensuring the quality of case report forms, maintaining source documents, and ensuring site quality. The position will also require familiarity with IRB submissions and regulatory processes. Most important of all, the Clinical Research Coordinator will ensure the safety and well-being of all study participants through all study activities.

Department Specific Job Details:

Education

  • Associate's degree required

Experience

  • 1-2 years of Research Assistant, Research Coordinator, or Regulatory Coordinator required

  • 1-2 years of healthcare/patient care experience required

  • 3-5 years of Research Assistant, Research Coordinator, or Regulatory Coordinator preferred

  • 3-5 years of healthcare/patient care experience preferred

Certifications

  • Preferred: Professional Certification in Clinical Research or willing to work towards obtaining certification within 2 years of hire

Skills/Competencies

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and research terms

  • Knowledge of PCs, word processing, excel, and data management software

  • Tech-savviness and willingness to learn new software applications
