Dayton Children's Hospital Pediatric Emergency Medicine APP (PRN) in Dayton, Ohio

Facility:Dayton Children's - Main CampusDepartment:Emergency Medicine - APPsSchedule:Part timeHours:8Job Details:The APP practices under the general supervision of the physicians in the Emergency Department. The APP serves as an expert clinical assistant who utilizes specialized knowledge and procedural skills obtained from advanced formal education and clinical experience to promote optimum care of patients and families with acute and chronic issues that present to the Emergency Department. The APP sees patients from birth to 21 years of age.

The APP performs history and physical examinations, develops diagnosis orders, preforms and interprets diagnostic tests/procedures and formulates, plan of care for acute condition while in the Emergency Department. The APP acts as a consultant to the patient/family, and nursing. The APP must be able to suture lacerations that present to the department. If the APP does not have suture experience training will be provided so this skill can be mastered within 6 months of hire.

The APP interrelates with all departments in the hospital and collaborates with the physician in accordance with clinical privileges granted by Dayton Children’s hospital. The APP will work at both the main and south ED locations.
