Overview Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a collection of related/integrated women's heath projects that together support a long-term research initiative. This position strategically works with one or more project managers and related technical staff to collaboratively work toward the programs' stated objectives. As well as contribution to the development of concepts, strategies, practices and procedures that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. May oversee a complex scope of work, including assisting in the development of research plans, programs schedules and execution strategies by coordinating the efforts of multiple stakeholders with available resources to meet R&D requirements in a fully integrated/seamless manner. This position will be in support of the 711 Human Performance Wing Women's Health and Performance Initiatives. The research supports the Air Force Medical Readiness Agency (AFMRA) research interests by enhancing the health readiness of women across the Department of Defence. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals. Responsibilities Gathers, develops and maintains pertinent data and information and communicates all applicable data and information of the program(s) to all appropriate leadership and staff members as required. Prepares and delivers reports and briefs to all appropriate leadership and staff members for information, guidance, support, recommendations and decision. Maintains the history of program information and operations using tracking and reporting software. Plans and executes initial and continuing engagement with identified components, commands and units' leadership and staff members as required. Plans and facilitates with key persons to develop and execute implementation and data collection specific to that unit. Securely disseminates and stores collected data and information as required. Prepares and delivers data, information, guidance, review and delivers reports and briefs to all appropriate personnel and stakeholders. May include budgetary responsibilities. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training/briefs the role. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum of 6-8 years experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Familiarity and knowledge of federal requirements processes and advanced principles of project management. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, build and maintain teams, and identify and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to meet deadlines. Working knowledge of a variety of software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, proposal/project tracking, and data analysis software. Significant analytical, organizational, coordination, and negotiation skills. Prior experience managing complex life sciences projects. Thorough knowledge and understanding of DOD organizational structure, community, training requirements, safety requirements and culture. Working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft O
