Job Number: R0213342 Microelectronics Design and Verification Engineer The Opportunity: Booz Allen's mission is to Empower People to Change the World. You'll work with industry-leading engineers in world-class research facilities to impact national security investment through the new development of military applications for cutting-edge technologies. You'll maintain and leverage technical expertise and build lasting relationships in serving clients. As a microelectronics design and verification engineer, you will work with a team of engineers, scientists, and researchers to develop the next generation of microelectronic designs critical to our national interests. You'll assist your colleagues and clients in performing verification by applying commercial best-practices to IP and block level designs using state of the art tools and techniques, and research and implement new and novel approaches for verification in the unique DoD design environment. In this role, you'll provide technical management support and strategic assessments of new technologies to support senior DoD decision-makers, including conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility of and potential applications for new technological concepts. You'll also produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government research and development efforts. You Have: 5+ years of experience in an ASIC or FPGA design or verification role in a commercial or DoD setting Experience with modern design or verification tools and techniques including simulation, emulation, formal, or prototyping Experience with performing technical research, documenting results, and presenting findings to customers and stakeholders Experience leading independent or small technical groups in planning, executing, and delivering complete projects Ability to be self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a client-service mindset, seek out solutions, and deliver value within uncertain and evolving project environments Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering Nice If You Have: Experience as a task or project lead through multiple successful tapeouts or hardware releases Experience with performing IP block or SoC level verification and Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL Experience with C/C++, Python, TCL, or other scripting languages and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) drivers, monitors, and scoreboards Experience with SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA), or Formal Verification tools and techniques Experience with executable test plans and coverage driven verification Experience with other aspects of the ASIC design flow such as architecture and synthesis, prototyping, power analysis, or security verification Knowledge of problems and solutions associated with modern hardware security and trust Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including documentation with Microsoft Office Secret clearance Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred; Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering a plus Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
