Position Overview:

The Educational Technology Manager will provide expertise and support for all educational technology needs to the USAFSAM Office of the Dean (USAFSAM/ED) directs daily academic operations for USAFSAM and establishes student training policies.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage all education technology to include spearheading requests for new educational technology needs, evaluate new software/hardware, identify best fit, cost, network requirements and make recommendations to USAFSAM/ED.
  • Provide expertise to design, develop, integrate, and manage of the use of all Office 365 tools (ex. Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Forms, Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.).
  • Create and deliver training, in conjunction with education and training Subject Matter Experts, on all software, hardware, and other technology as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and identify solutions for all educational technology needs.
  • Create and/or maintain management control systems to monitor goals and objectives of educational technology program and project resources, and to determine and report on the impact of proposed resource changes and potential problem areas.
  • Evaluate and manage educational technology needs in the classroom to include modernization efforts.
  • Set goals and timelines, track progress, resolve technology issues, and report status to the Government representative.
  • Oversee the inventory and maintenance of educational technology related resources as directed by the Government representative.
  • Ensure the installment of new educational technology equipment (Projectors, Cameras, Microphones, Smartboards, TVs, etc.) and software in the various buildings, classrooms, teaching pods, and auditoriums, for F2F, Online, and Hybrid learning environments as directed by the Government representative.
  • Ensure the ordering, storing, coding/entering inventory into database, and disposing of all educational technology equipment as directed by the Government representative.
  • Participate in and support other projects within skill sets; project may include writing continuity documents, attending or presenting at local eLearning symposiums, defining capabilities for potential customers, collaborating with local colleges or multi-service partners, and supporting other USAFSAM special projects.
  • Work with the customer on any concerns about the technology and ensure that what is delivered matches the request and is delivered in a timely manner as determined by the Government representative.

Minimum Position Requirements

At a minimum, have 5 years of experience working with various types of educational/learning technology, such as: Learning Management Systems (LMS), curriculum development software, Student Information Systems (SIS), etc.
