Composite Advantage Construction Inspector in Dayton, Ohio

Composite Advantage is a manufacturing company specializing in large composite material parts for the transportation, infrastructure, and marine industries. Our innovative products, including pedestrian and automotive bridge decks, submarine docking stations, and crane pads, are utilized both nationally and internationally.

Summary

As a Construction Inspector at Composite Advantage, you will be integral to ensuring the quality and compliance of our composite material products. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to excellence in manufacturing while supporting projects that enhance infrastructure across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of finished materials to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.

  • Review blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and identify potential issues.

  • Perform quality control checks on materials and workmanship throughout the construction process.

  • Collaborate with project manager, engineering and construction teams to address any discrepancies or concerns.

  • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports for management review.

  • Analyze inspection data to identify trends and recommend improvements in processes or materials.

  • Ensure safety standards are met on all job sites during inspections.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction inspection or quality control within the manufacturing sector.

  • Must be able to read standard and metric tape measure.

  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.

  • Familiarity with construction management principles and practices.

  • Excellent analytical skills to assess compliance with specifications.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality assurance.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.

  • Experience working on construction sites is not required.
