Engineering co-op opportunity for the Fall of 2025 is available on the AES Ohio T&D Technical OperationsTeam. QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate should be a Sophomore or Junior student pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with a strong academic background, exceptional attention to detail, and organization and presentation skills. A proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office programs - especially Excel and Word - also is preferred. PRIMARY DUTIES: TheTransmission & Distribution Technical Operations team collaborates with many areas of the Company, including operations and construction to ensure the reliable operation of the electric system. Accordingly, the successful candidate may be assigned to various departments during their Intern position.Intern will broaden knowledge and experience in the field of engineering and operations by: Working alongside Operations groups supporting the reliable operation of the distribution and transmission system, including Substations. Data collection and data manipulation Research and recommend plans of action for equipment/tools replacement and/or modification. Assist engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve equipment problems. Intern may be expected to complete additional assignments as determined by their supervisor.
