The Role

This is a Senior Marketing Manager position on the Commercial Americas Solutions & High Growth Vertical Marketing Team and is responsible for marketing strategy, planning and execution for Applied Systems and Chillers. The Senior Marketing Manager, Applied Systems and Chillers will lead marketing efforts for cutting edge technologies that serve the to decarbonize the built environment through energy efficient technologies and innovations in electric heating. In this role, you’ll bring marketing expertise to help inform business strategies, identifying underserved customer needs to inform new offer development, lead development and execution of marketing strategies for new and existing solutions, develop and execute in-bound and content marketing strategies and plans, create compelling messaging, impactful content, and measure and optimize these efforts. Additionally, you will collaborate and engage with other marketing and sales colleagues to connect solutions to customer use cases. This is an important, highly visible, and strategic role, working directly with Trane Portfolio Leadership, Sales Leadership, and Marketing Leadership. The work is aligned with our strategy to innovate for our customers and decarbonize the built environment, and supports our bold commitment to reduce 1 Gigaton of CO2e from our customers’ footprint by 2030.

This role is part of the Solutions & High Growth Verticals Marketing Team. The position cab be Traditional (On-Site), Hybrid, or remote within a geography based out of our Davidson, NC or Minneapolis-St.Paul, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inform portfolio strategy with market insights and customer data

  • Partner with portfolio leadership and stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate into marketing strategies and plans; Lead strategic marketing planning for area of responsibility

  • Support new offer development and lead market activation and in-line product/service marketing

  • Collaborate with other marketing team members and the portfolio leadership team to ensure a holistic, integrated plan is developed with specific, relevant metrics that can be tracked/shared

  • Work across marketing to identify and build solution sets and connect them to customer needs and marketing efforts

· Develop, execute, monitor and optimize the marketing plan for assigned area

  • Lead tactical execution to drive meaningful results within the business

  • Build and grow strategic partnership with key stakeholders and partners

  • Participate in brand awareness, demand generation and sales enablement activities for assigned portfolios and personas

Candidate Profile:

  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or communications

  • 8-10 Minimum Years of Product Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar/related experience

  • 5+ Years experience marketing complex technical products or solutions

  • Ability to communicate effectively to and with Executive Leadership

  • Highly collaborative, across a highly matrixed organization

  • Effective communication (verbal and written); Strong influencing, change implementation and collaboration skills.

  • Agile learner with demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently define, communicate, and adjust strategies and plans

  • Ability to translate technical information into impactful customer messaging and marketing content

  • Experience in developing compelling stories and bringing products/services to market

  • Experience working with Marketing & PR Agencies

  • Understanding of marketing metrics and ability to use the data to optimize channels, tactics, messages, etc.
