Trane Technologies Quality Business Operating System (BOS) & Training Management Lead in Davidson, North Carolina

The Global Quality Business Operating System (BOS) & Training Management Lead is a pivotal role responsible for driving the deployment, standardization, and optimization of the Quality Management System (QMS) across Trane Technologies' Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and global manufacturing sites. By ensuring alignment of processes, people, and technology, this role enables a unified and high-performing quality culture.

As a strategic leader, you will spearhead efforts to close compliance gaps, standardize work processes, and ensure seamless implementation of QMS initiatives. You will partner with key stakeholders across SBUs globally to deploy solutions that deliver world-class quality performance, enhance operational efficiency, and support the organization’s sustainability goals.

This role is instrumental in shaping Trane Technologies' global quality framework, enabling sustainable operations and excellence across all manufacturing locations.

Where is the work:

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, optimization, and deployment (in partnership with business partners) of the Quality Business Operating System (BOS), ensuring processes, forms, and training materials drive consistent implementation and global quality excellence for all key projects across the organization.

  • Facilitate seamless coordination between SBUs and stakeholders to implement and maintain the Quality Management System, aligning with Trane Technologies' global quality vision.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites to identify and prioritize key quality improvement opportunities, ensuring actionable outcomes.

  • Standardize processes across manufacturing locations for key quality initiatives and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent standards.

  • Partner with the enterprise IT and the Quality Leadership team to implement and optimize quality applications, driving productivity improvements for critical quality processes.

  • Design and deliver dynamic training programs on BOS and standard work implementation for key initiatives, empowering teams to sustain compliance and performance improvements.

  • Build and maintain robust reporting structures to track BOS implementation, ensuring manufacturing sites are informed and equipped for timely follow-up actions.

  • Establish governance structures for key programs to drive accountability across SBUs, ensuring alignment with QMS adherence and performance goals.

  • Navigate and influence within a matrixed organization, building credible relationships across functions and SBUs to drive alignment and achieve results.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, quality, or operations).

  • 8+ years of experience in quality management systems with a strong emphasis on manufacturing and quality leadership.

  • Proven track record implementing or optimizing ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent QMS standards.

  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Strategic Business Unit-facing experience, demonstrating a commitment to solving complex business challenges.

  • Demonstrated leadership in setting up or optimizing a PMO, driving strategic planning, and maintaining project governance.

  • Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and resolving quality disruptions across multiple stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or equivalent high-volume industries.

  • Project management experience.

  • Familiarity with lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Certifications:

  • Preferred: ASQ CMQ/OE or CQA/CQE/ CQIE certification.

  • Preferred: PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or MPM certification.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (15-30%)

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
