Job Summary: Trane Technologies commercial HVAC business is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Decarbonization Program Leader to join our team. This role will work across product, system sales teams and our enterprise CEES (Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability) to document and report on our progress towards the Gigaton Challenge. The Gigaton Challenge is a bold commitment to reduce one billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2e) from our customers’ carbon footprints by 2030. The Gigaton Challenge is the largest science-based climate commitment related to product use emissions – a testament to our "Challenge What’s Possible" resolve. We believe in this bold commitment because of the collective action across our entire enterprise. The successful candidate will recommend actions to the business to further lower emissions and advance our decarbonization efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail and executive presence, enabling them to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with product, engineering and system sales teams to gather, analyze, and document data related to our decarbonization initiatives and progress towards the Gigaton Challenge.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to track and communicate progress on decarbonization goals to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify opportunities for further emissions reductions and recommend actionable strategies to the business.

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to decarbonization and sustainability.

  • Support the development and implementation of decarbonization projects and initiatives across the organization.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of decarbonization efforts with overall business objectives.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to decarbonization and sustainability.

  • Assist in the preparation of sustainability reports and other communications to highlight our progress and achievements in decarbonization.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with concentration in Data Analytics. Advanced degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working a functional role with a focus on decarbonization and emissions reduction.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.

  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to decarbonization and sustainability.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $91,000 - $189,500

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
