Geisinger Business Intelligence Analyst Associate in Danville, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Responsible for assisting with tasks related to project completion including analysis, testing, documentation, problem resolution, and implementation of solutions as they apply to the organization's strategy. Responsible for assisting with and performing tasks related to report development including requirements gathering, specification and definition documentation, design, testing, validation, analysis, and maintenance for all reporting projects.

Job Duties

  • Observes during requirements gathering and scope definition sessions for learning and note taking.

  • Observes creation of project plans and time and effort estimates to become familiar with the process.

  • Actively aware of real -time to complete tasks in comparison to project planning estimation of time to complete tasks.

  • Training and observing to learn the necessary concepts and principles associated with designing solution architecture.

  • Responsible for following solution architecture design when building - increasing familiarity with this process.

  • Identify opportunities and introduce automation into their workflow, starting with ad-hoc reporting and moving towards BI.

  • Locate and identify data needed and profile to determine quality and appropriateness.

  • Develop an understanding of key data concept and how it fits into the needs for overall data and analytics.

  • Learn key concepts associated with data literacy and applying them to the requests they have.

  • Observe how more data literate individuals apply their strengths here to the work they do.

  • Performing documentation and discovery associated with these initiatives.

  • Identifying data quality issues while performing data profiling and testing and validation.

Work is typically performed in an office environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
