Description

Position Summary:

The person in this position will assist the agency in ensuring that WestCare meets training standards. Requirements in relation to policies and procedures, accreditation standards, state licensing regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, agency grants, and/or contracts are met through the management and oversight of the learning management system (LMS) used by the agency. The person in this position will also provide evidence-based training and certification courses as appropriate. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

Essential Job Functions:

· Daily monitoring of Training Fresh Desk ticketing system to respond to the needs and inquiries of WestCare personnel.

· Assign additional training to personnel per supervisor and/or Human Resources requests.

· Assign additional test attempts to individuals with courses locked within the LMS due to too many test attempts.

· Assist personnel with LMS technical issues, questions, and concerns to ensure training completion and access.

· Ensure LMS and HR data systems personnel information match across systems to allow personnel to be assigned appropriate training and access to LMS.

· Ensure all LMS transcripts are current with internal and external training sources and other training-related information.

· Provide HR and personnel with accurate and timely official training transcripts for audits, site visits, requests from former personnel, etc.

· Update classroom training in LMS, including in-person and webinar-style sessions as needed for personnel to ensure training transcripts are current.

  • Assist the Training Director with the training calendar, including information dissemination coordination

  • Provide personnel with evidence-based training such as MI, Seeking Safety, and TIP as needed through virtual platforms.

  • Provide personnel with certification courses such as CPI Verbal Intervention (Trauma), CPR, and MHFA as needed through virtual platforms.

    · Attend staff meetings, training, and in-service as assigned by the supervisor and/or as required by the agency.

    · Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and

    · Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Ability to be certified in EBPs

    Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, education, or a related field.

    Experience and Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong computer skills to encompass all Microsoft Office applications

  • Understanding of Learning management systems (LMS) preferred

    Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed primarily in a remote setting.

  • 40 hours per week are expected. Regular attendance is required.

    Physical Demands:

  • Requires mobility and physical activity: Having an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in an office or outdoor environment, including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), sitting for extended periods of time, bending, twisting,

    reaching, balancing, occasional lifting, and carrying up to 10 pounds. Use of computer and telephone systems is required which includes coordination of eye and hand, and fine manipulation by the hands (typing, writing, and working with files).

  • Requires talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Talking is required to impart oral information to employees and the public, and in those activities in which the employee is required to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.

  • Requires hearing: Hearing is required to receive and communicate detailed information orally.

  • Requires seeing: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and a distance. This factor is required to complete paperwork for many of the employee’s essential job functions and to observe client behavior and activities in and out of the facility.

  • The normal work routine involves no exposure to human blood, body fluids, or tissues. However, exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee.

  • Requires the ability to collect and analyze complex numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions.
