- High School Graduate and a two-year Technical Degree in a related field.
- Minimum of four years practical field experience with expertise in the configuration of various networking equipment to include switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.

- Assist in the evaluation, planning and implementation of IT infrastructure projects.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of technological changes and advancements with advanced knowledge of network equipment design and implementation in a wide area network environment.
- Ensure that all cooperative computing resources are operational and available.
- Support all network, telecommunications, and mission critical systems, including
- Core and distribution switches, routers, packet and application firewalls, security servers, Wi-fi, VPNs, Verizons private network, security cameras and other misc. devices.
- Provide 24 hours a day / 7 days a week on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Coordinates the tracking and maintenance of software licenses and digital certificates.
- Participate in maintenance and implementation of NGEMC cybersecurity systems in partnership with Cybersecurity Administrator
- Participate in the creation, maintenance, documentation, and routine testing of the disaster recovery plan and incident response plan.
