Job Description

SHIFT

Second shift Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30 pm (Training on First shift Monday-Friday 6am-2:30 pm for 1-3 months).

Essential Job Functions:

• With input from the Department Supervisor, give direction to designated work teams with responsibility for maintaining production schedules, quality of work, and planning and assigning duties.

• Assist in the direction of efforts in assigned departments, including supervision of staff and associated personnel actions.

• Ensure department work areas are safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant through training, implementation of EHS policies, and continuous improvement.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of training matrices of personnel and associated documentation.

• Interface with supporting departments as required.

• Ensure adequate resources are in place for employees to perform daily operations, including materials, tools, and training.

• Assist with problem solving, corrective action, and root-cause analysis using established policies and procedures.

• Identify opportunities to solve problems and improve performance.

• Interview and select applicants to meet headcount needs determined by the director of manufacturing operations.

• Recommend termination of employees for policy violations or performance-related issues with the approval of the director of manufacturing operations and HR.

• Recognize issues, problems, or opportunities and determine whether action is appropriate.

• Demonstrate honesty, keep commitments, and behave in a consistent manner.

• Treat people fairly with dignity and respect.

• Coach subordinates in accomplishing specific tasks or solving problems.

• Identify opportunities to meet goals and objectives.
