Job Description:

The Enterprise Application Support Team supports various vendor/third-party developed applications, creates and maintains sustainable processes that helps customers maximize the value of their applications via standardization and simplification. A successful Application Support Engineer must be passionate about technology, have an analytical mindset, be interested in working with a wide range of platforms and services, and have a solid foundation in Windows Systems, Linux Systems, and Cloud Platforms. Familiarity with integrations such as API calls and JSON formatted data exchange is required.

Responsible for provisioning, deploying, administering, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and patching of vendor applications (primarily Sunapsis application) and dependent applications/services in Hybrid cloud environment ( AWS , Azure, GCP , and on-premise data center).

Document complex processes, procedures, system configurations and specifications. Exhibit strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the capability to acquire, retain and leverage advanced technical competencies. Able to coalesce design specifications independently and collaboratively, manage and develop stable, best practice, environment specific enterprise class solutions. Possesses a comprehensive understanding of enterprise solutions, architecture, and life-cycles. Mentor junior engineers and student employees.

Ability to multitask at high volume and detail. Ability to produce effective, timely results. Able to develop and implement proactive, automated solutions and processes. Able to quickly prioritize and efficiently complete tasks of varied scope, scale, and technical requirements. Acts as a role model in demonstrating customer service, integrity, and ethical behavior. Understand and adapt to different work styles, conflict resolution techniques, office etiquette and demonstrate the ability to interact with employees and stakeholders in a positive, productive, and technically but appropriately stratified manner. Self-motivated and stays abreast of applicable new technologies and technical methodologies to advance security posture, productivity, and career path.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years related experience OR Associate degree with six (6) related experience OR High School or equivalent with eight (8) years related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 5-years’ experience in corresponding products and technologies.

  • Experience with installation, configuration, deployment, and updates of applications such as:

  • Sunapsis, JIRA , Confluence, AssetWorks AiM, Pharos, Titanium, Odyssey PCS , RightFax, StarRez, Keywatcher, Inteum, Desigo, etc.

  • Experience with the SEVIS API used by DHS .

  • Professional experience working with Cold Fusion, IIS , APIs, and JSON

  • Solid understanding of industry standards and best practices around security, performance, and availability.

  • Strong technical documentation, diagramming, and organizational skills.

  • Experience with Public Cloud ( AWS , Azure, GCP ) Services.

  • Experience of Administration and Support/Maintenance of applications in public cloud including hosted environments.

  • Experience with License Management Software (FlexLM, LM-X, OpenLM)

  • Experience with Containerization and tools like Chef/Puppet/Ansible.

  • Experience working within the ITIL framework for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

  • Comprehensive understanding of Cloud Platforms and related application architecture

  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
