Kanaan Communications, LLC Telecom Site Survey Engineer in Dallas, Texas

Overview and Essential Functions

Use discretion and independent judgment to independently design and developdetailed engineering packages to act as a manual for the installation oftelecommunications systems. Example systems include, but are not limited to, PBX,switching, transport, GPS, antennas, receivers, lighting systems, wiring systems andpower systems.

Essential Functions

  • Use discretion and independent judgment to research and review telecommunicationsystem requirements and generate detailed installation specifications in adherence toboth industry and customer standards.

  • Schedule and perform on-site visits to collect specific information on telecommunicationnetwork build-out and/or removal.

  • Actively advise Pro-Tel clients during all phases of deployment.

  • Formulate Pro-Tel Bill of Materials.

  • Update site specific customer office records with use of computer aided drawingsystems (i.e. AutoCad)

  • Interface with all levels of management in Pro-Tel sales, operations, engineering,installation and procurement services.

  • Assist installation and customer engineering with the resolution of project issues.

  • Adhere to all engineering milestones defined by the customer and/or Pro-Telmanagement.

  • Participate in non-customer related projects which benefit corporate development

Pay Range $75,000-$100,000

Qualifications

This role is heavy travel around the country. Candidates can expect to be traveling for a few weeks at a time.

  • Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs

  • Excellent Organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment

  • Knowledge of modern office procedures including telephone communications, officesystems and record keeping.

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows,Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, AutoCAD, Myriad, or similar drawingprograms, miscellaneous web-based programs and general file structure.

  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives withoutsupervision.

  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.

  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per week including nights and weekendsas requested by the Engineering Manager.
