Senior Project Engineer - Farmers Branch, Texas

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the worlds top-recognized brands and companies, is actively seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in the Dallas area at our Farmers Branch, Texas office. What are we looking for? The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of assignments that include independent evaluations using standard techniques, procedures and criteria using engineering judgement to make minor adoptions and modifications during the course of work.

What youll do: Make decisions and recommendations in reference to test report results, project field circumstances and inspections Prepare and review inspection and testing reports, project procedural plans and specifications prepared by others Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for task assignments Attend client site meetings and review recommendations with Principal Consultant and/or Quality Manager Maintain and leverage client relationships and develop new project opportunities May perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests and/or inspections May work both in the field and laboratory regularly This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from accredited engineering/ABET school 8 years of civil engineering experience PE License Driver's license with acceptable driving record Day shift with 7am start time Ability to work off shifts and overtime Ability to lift, move, push and pull up to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound Ability to kneel and squat occasionally Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights
