Job Description

Our client, one of the largest rail and airline catering services in the world, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer out of Irving, TX. This position will play a critical role in designing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of the organization while working with Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, SD-WAN, and 3rd party management.

This position will ensure that all networking projects are completed and assist both technical and non-technical users as needed.

This is a 6-month contract-to-hire paying $60-70/hr depending on experience. The position is hybrid with 3 days on site, 2 days remote.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of experience with Cisco switches, SD-WAN, Meraki and Palo Alto.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience managing 3rd party vendors providing services in remote locations.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Other IT Infrastructure knowledge (servers, pc’s, applications).

• Project management experience.

• Ability to interact and communicate with non-technical users and management.

• AWS experience.

Tech Breakdown

• All Cisco shop

• Routing

• IP-address management

• Firewall management

Daily Responsibilities

• Manage 3rd party vendors providing services from remote locations.

• Will team up with an existing Network Engineer and be responsible for network engineering.

• Complete networking projects.

• Develop “how to” documentation.

• Will also interact extensively with technical and non-technical users as needed.
