Robert Half Senior Accountant in Dallas, Texas

Description

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and expertise in the private equity, hedge funds, and family office sectors. This candidate will play a vital role in our accounting department, responsible for preparing statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines, audits, and managing our financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating complex financial reports and statements for the management team.

  • Management of operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

  • Overseeing audits and internal controls.

  • Ensuring all accounting procedures align with federal and state law requirements.

  • Update internal systems with financial data.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.

  • Reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger account.

  • Producing the annual budget and forecasting trends.

  • Maintaining knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.

  • Assist in the development of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a must.

  • 3 to 5 years as a senior accountant experience

  • Strong experience in the private equity, hedge funds, or family office sectors is preferred.

  • Proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

  • Experience in using accounting software and databases.

  • Expertise with creating financial statements and understanding of budget forecasts.

  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.

  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.

  • Knowledge of business processes and internal control methodology.
