Position: Security Compliance Analyst

Job Description:

Forward Air is seeking a Security Compliance Analyst to join our Information Security team, responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our organization’s information security program. This role will collaborate with our internal controls team, IT teams, and external auditors to ensure that all systems and processes are documented in accordance with internal controls and SOX compliance regulations.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive information security program

• Analyze and assess the organization's security posture against industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOX, NIST, HIPAA, SOC 2)

• Manage SOX compliance for IT general controls

• Identify and document security risks and vulnerabilities

• Develop and implement security controls to mitigate identified risks

• Manage and participate in security audits and penetration testing

• Prepare and maintain security compliance documentation

• Stay current on evolving security threats, regulations, and best practices

• Work collaboratively with IT and other departments to ensure compliance across the organization

• Investigate and respond to security incidents

• Assist with security awareness training programs

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in information security or a related field

• Strong understanding of security best practices, frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, NIST, HIPAA, SOC 2)

• Experience with security risk assessments and vulnerability management

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• A Security+ certification or equivalent is a plus
