Registered Nurse, Lactation Consutlant
Texas Health Dallas is seeking an experience Lactation Consultant to join our tight-knit team.

Work hours: Full Time, Days, 36 hours; 7:00am – 7:00pm
Department highlights:
· Average 400 deliveries per month
· 62 bed Mom/Baby unit
· Lactation provides consults on request, as well as outpatient consults
· Manages breast pump rentals, donor milk to go program and breast pump depot program
· Staffs 2-3 Lactation Consultants per day
Here’s What You Need
· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program
· BSN preferred
· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
· Lactation Consultant experience preferred
· IBCLC – Lactation Consultant certification within 12 months required
What You Will Do
· Function as expert resource on breastfeeding issues for patients, families, community, staff and physicians
· Serve as clinical expert for lactation issues based on evidence
· Produce documentation that initiates, follow and revise patient’s plan of care
· Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve care processes and promote continuity of care
· Review patient medications for potential complications associated with breastfeeding
· Assess outpatients for symptoms of jaundice and breastfeeding problems
· Participate in breast pump rental and retail sales within the Breastfeeding Resource Center
