Registered EEG Tech – Full Time - Days

We’re looking for qualified Registered EEG Tech to join our Texas Health family. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

Work hours: Full Time | Nights| 36 Hours| Monday-Thursday| 10:00pm – 7:30am – Rotating Call and Holidays.

Here’s What You Need

  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req

  • 1 Year EEG experience Req

  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And

  • R.EEG T. - Registered EEG Technician Upon Hire Req

  • Read, write, and speak English well; Proficient in operation of standard Windows/PC operations; ability to transfer digital data on various media. Must be able to see digital or LED computerized screens for clinical task completion.

What You Will Do

  • Performs EEG tests as appropriate.

  • Knows correct recording electrode as well as their appropriate sites.

  • Differentiates between electrode artifact and true abnormal brain wave activity.

  • Performs patient assessment to assure diagnostic testing is relevant to patient testing needs.

  • Checks bio-cal and calibration of EEG machine before and after each test.

  • Replaces any malfunctioning cables or electrodes.

  • Completes other duties as assigned.
