Robert Half Property Accounting Manager in Dallas, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Property Accounting Manager in Dallas, Texas. This role will be situated within the financial industry, and will involve managing and coordinating various accounting functions, including financial reporting, acquisitions and financing, and team leadership and development.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the issuance of monthly financial reports at the property level, ensuring adherence to checklists and schedules.
• Review and approve bank reconciliations and financial tie-out packages for properties.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational accounting processes and adhere to them consistently.
• Collaborate with third-party tax advisors and auditors, providing necessary documentation and responses.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process, providing insights and data.
• Understand the role of property accounting in capital events such as acquisitions, refinancing, and dispositions, and participate accordingly.
• Ensure accounting systems are updated in a timely manner following capital events.
• Lead the property accounting department, including hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.
• Foster a high-performing work environment through guidance and mentorship.
• Ensure accounting policies and processes are consistently updated to reflect current department practices.
• Set and work towards goals for self and team. Requirements • Comprehensive understanding and proficiency in Account Coding
• Proficient in using different Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is mandatory
• Mastery of AMSI software is required
• Familiarity with AppFolio software is desirable
• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions effectively
• Extensive experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Proven track record in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Solid understanding of Accrual Accounting principles
• Demonstrated experience in Auditing
