Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Dallas, Texas
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, based in Dallas, Texas. This role offers a hybrid work model, where you will be working in a combined in-office and remote environment.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and manage payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Verify and manage employee timesheets, payroll deductions, benefits, and wage information.
• Maintain detailed payroll records for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to address payroll-related questions or discrepancies.
• Implement accurate tax withholdings and filings according to applicable laws.
• Monitor updates to payroll regulations and adapt procedures accordingly.
• Utilize accounting software systems and tools such as Microsoft Excel to perform tasks.
• Administer 401k - RRSP and participate in auditing and accounting functions.
• Manage full cycle payroll and benefit functions, using systems like ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, and Ceridian.
• Exhibit proficiency in using About Time and Crystal Reports. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industries
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems for accurate and efficient payroll processing
• Detailed knowledge of ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is essential
• Experience with Ceridian payroll software is highly desirable
• Proficiency in using Crystal Reports for generating payroll reports
• Understanding and experience in 401k - RRSP Administration
• Familiarity with the About Time software for timekeeping purposes
• Competence in performing all Accounting Functions associated with payroll
• Strong Auditing skills to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions related to payroll, including deductions and contributions
• Experience in Full Cycle Payroll, from data collection to issuing paychecks
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis in payroll operations.
