Medical Office Receptionist – Adult Care Clinic – Full-Time, Days Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Medical Office Receptionist Work location: 8210 Walnut Hill Lane, Suite 718, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p Adult Care Clinic Highlights:

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • 1 year Healthcare experience in a Clinical Setting (strongly preferred)

  • 1 year working knowledge of Medical Insurance (strongly preferred)

  • Bilingual in Spanish / English (preferred)

  • EPIC experience (preferred)

  • Be an outgoing individual with a friendly attitude

  • Have strong attention to detail

  • Be able to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic

  • Must have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills

  • Have knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements

  • Have demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills

  • Have organizational and time management skills

  • Be proficient computer skills

  • Have knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

  • Be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process

  • Performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance and conducts all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments.

  • Answers a high volume of phone calls and directs them appropriately.

  • Prepares charts for future patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.

  • Schedules appointments for 21 providers according to office guideline, confirms next day appointments and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment and follows up with patients regarding the Missed Appointment Policy and sends out the appropriate communications.

  • Copies/scans patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.

  • Guide patients through the financial assistance process to help defray the cost of their care and tracks resident patient volume for reporting.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
