MOC-Application Support Specialist & Trainer

Job Title: Medical Office Coordinator-Application Support Specialist & Trainer

Department: Administrative/Clerical

Immediate Supervisor Title: Clinic Managers and Practice Managers

Job Supervisory Responsibilities: None

General Summary: A non-exempt position responsible for use proficiency in all software applications used within practice, including the EMR application that allows employee to handle technical issues and configuration. Able to support end-users and help them understand how to use the application or system and help solve any issues. Responsible for application training of all staff including physicians and APPs.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

· Applications support specialists provides assistance/support related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer software application programs. This role is the contact person who will receive and receive and resolve support-related issues. Provide hands-on technical maintenance or walk users through a troubleshooting and resolution process by phone or through electronic platforms such as real-time chat. Track support records and analyze data to identify patterns of common issues.

· Responsible for assisting IT with support as needed and for all upgrades.

· Responsible for application training of all staff including physicians and APPs. Travel between clinic locations is required. Employee must have own reliable transportation and be willing to travel.

· Help identify and assess technological solutions.

· Help configure and install technological solutions as assigned.

· Responsible for troubleshooting and solving existing problems.

· Able to work well with cross-functional teams.

· Proficiency with medical terminology.

· Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience: Associates degree or technical degree/certification in a computer or IT discipline preferred, or an equivalent amount of work experience.

Other Requirements: Must have in-depth familiarity with common software applications and related tools, particularly those considered essential or standard in our organization/industry. Ability to learn new applications quickly and proficiently as introduced. Requires strong verbal and written

communication skills, advanced customer service capabilities, relationship management, critical thinking, patience and understanding.
