Position: Manager, Oracle Transportation Management

Job Description:

Forward Air is seeking a Manager, Oracle Transportation Management, to lead our team and drive operational excellence. The Manager of Oracle Transportation Management will play a pivotal role in overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of our OTM system. They will lead a team responsible for configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing OTM to ensure smooth transportation operations and superior service delivery to our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of logistics, transportation management systems, and Oracle technology.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead the implementation and integration of Oracle Transportation Management across our logistics operations

• Ensure successful deployment of OTM modules while adhering to project timelines and budgetary constraints

• Collaborate with IT and logistics teams to customize OTM functionalities to meet specific business needs

• Manage a team of OTM specialists, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth

• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and knowledge sharing

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize OTM performance, streamline processes, and enhance operational efficiency

• Monitor system performance metrics and proactively address issues to minimize disruptions and downtime

• Serve as the primary point of contact for Oracle and other technology vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration

• Engage with key stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into OTM solutions

• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in transportation management

• Drive initiatives to innovate and enhance OTM capabilities to maintain competitive advantage and support business growth

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field

• Proven experience 3+ years in managing Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) in a logistics or supply chain environment

• Strong technical expertise in OTM configuration, customization, and integration

• Experience leading teams and managing projects within a cross-functional environment

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels

• Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Specialist) preferred
