Manager, Business Development

At Forescout, the Business Development Team is critical to the success of our sales strategy. We are excited to offer the opportunity for a high-energy, enthusiastic leader to join our team. We are seeking an individual who is equally passionate about people, processes, and data to build, develop, and lead our business development team. This role is crucial in identifying new business opportunities and driving revenue growth. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will collaborate with leaders across sales and marketing to drive results.

Leveraging your expertise in sales development, lead generation, and leadership, you will implement repeatable processes, evolve the BDR playbook, and take full ownership of pipeline targets. Additionally, you'll build a culture of ownership, experimentation, iteration, and high performance by coaching and leading your team to achieve their best.

What You Will Do

  • Team Leadership : Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new BDRs. Lead and coach the team to foster a culture of ownership, experimentation, and performance.

  • Pipeline Management : Develop and implement repeatable processes and take full ownership of pipeline targets. Track and report on pipeline metrics and BDR KPIs.

  • Opportunity Management : Refine opportunity management and qualification processes in collaboration with Sales and BDR Leadership.

  • Training and Development : Train team members to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities. Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to help the team develop pitches, prospecting strategies, nurture flows, and ways to engage new accounts.

  • Strategy and Collaboration : Work with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to develop effective messaging and campaigns. Partner with other GTM leaders to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration, clean handoffs, and feedback loops.

  • GTM Strategy : Contribute to the evolution of our GTM strategy and develop a point of view on market trends, the competitive landscape, emerging cybersecurity threats, and opportunities.

  • Experience: 4+ years in sales development or inside sales roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-starting environment.

  • Leadership: Highly skilled leadership competencies including decision quality, driving results, managing complexity, planning and alignment, and ensuring accountability.

  • Performance: Proven track record of managing and scaling sales development teams in a B2B environment. Success in driving pipeline through inbound and outbound prospecting.

  • Data-driven: Demonstrated experience in analyzing and optimizing sales processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Sales Skills: Strong understanding of sales methodologies, lead generation techniques, and pipeline management. Excellent data and analytical skills to identify trends and make adjustments.

  • Communication: Excellent communication, coaching, and mentorship skills with a track record of developing top-performing SDRs.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM and sales engagement systems including Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Groove, and 6Sense. An understanding of B2B software, SaaS, and the cybersecurity sector is preferred.

  • Passion for Technology: Enthusiastic about cybersecurity and eager to learn more about Forescout.
