LALA US, Inc Manager – Commercial Finance in Dallas, Texas

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will lead and manage the Commercial Finance Management function of LALA U.S. This manager is responsible for the accuracy of the LALA U.S. trade accrual, effective management of the trade spending budget, and leading and engaging a high-performing team. Be a business partner for Marketing and Broker management teams to track spend according to budget and latest forecast, providing information and analysis to optimize spend.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Create, analyze and present monthly trade tracking to the Executive Leadership Committee.

  • Analyze and present initiatives that lead to a Higher Promotional ROI, with focus on post ROI analysis.

  • Oversee trade accrual, reconcile and validate trade expense and trade balance sheet accounts.

  • Track royalties' receivables and calculate royalties' payables.

  • Calculate the variable commission for the brokers based on the Net Sales actuals and forecast.

  • Work together with the Marketing team to control expenses and reforecast marketing spend.

  • Build Blue Planner capability by training new promotion managers and supporting existing promotion managers as needed.

  • Company expert on Blue Planner – responsible for understanding and modifying workflows, master data, and other technical features of TPM software.

  • Lead and engage a team of 2 Direct Reports located at the shared service center (CSG) in Mexico.

  • Support effective collaboration with shared service center (CSG) in Mexico.

  • Serve as a collaborative cross-functional partner to Sales, Marketing, Broker, IT and Accounting.

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, trade promotion management or financial planning.

  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience is preferred.

  • Promotion Analytics Management experience is preferred.

  • Prior experience managing 1-3 direct reports is preferred.

  • SAP experience is preferred.

SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables/v-lookups).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint & Microsoft Office 365.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to details and root cause analysis.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

FORMAL EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Working from Corporate Office in Dallas, TX four days a week with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.

  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.

  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
