Team or Function Overview

The Maintenance Manager plays a fundamental role in preventing costly downtimes and ensuring that the manufacturing process delivers high-quality products.

Summary The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for providing direction, coordination and support for the daily execution of the maintenance department’s operating plan with the primary objective of maintaining the Plant’s equipment and facilities.

Essential Duties

  • Ensures compliance with all industry and company standard safety practices.Conducts safety inspectionsofworkpractices&workareas.Facilitatestrainingtoidentify,prevent,andcorrect unsafeconditionsandpractices.SupportandfacilitatethecontinueddevelopmentoftheJobSafety Analysis, Standard Operating Procedure and Lockout/Tagout databases

  • Supervises all assigned maintenance personnel in the execution of their daily work to ensure the production line achieves objectives. Selects and coordinates appropriate training materials and sessions to develop the skill level of maintenance personnel.

  • Supportthefacility’s3-yearCapitalplanandensuremaintainabilityisdesignedintocapitalprojects. Identifyandexecutecapitalprojectsaimedattheimprovementofmaintenance-relatedactivities.

  • Establishes and administers preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Plans, develops, and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations. Track, analyze and improve maintenance KPIs.

  • Manage the down day planning, prioritization, and execution process by partnering with direct reports in the maintenance dept as well as partnering with Production and Process Engineering. ManagethePlant’sannualshutdownplanningandexecution.Utilizecriticalpathanalysis&deploy resources accordingly to ensure compliance with the asset availability schedule. Implements strategies and processes to maximize asset availability and utilization by optimizing planned maintenance intervals.

  • Develop&maintaintheplant’sMaintenancebudgetandforecast.

  • Oversee the plant’s storeroom inventory and spare parts processes, assuring critical spares are identified and strategies are in place for critical spares access.

  • IntermediateMicrosoftOfficeskills

  • Knowledge of a CMMS software (Maximo preferable) preferred

  • Knowledgeofengineeringfundamentalsincludingmachinedesign,rotatingequipment,hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, bearings, and lubrication.

  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley drives and PLC’s is preferred

  • Knowledge of Wonderware is preferred
